Designing and Developing an Information System
Objectives:
The objective of this assignment is for the student to demonstrate a reasonable level of mastery of XHTML
and thereby complete the I450 XHTML technology seminar requirements.
Assignment
Your assignment is to create a new XHTML1.0 Strict web page on an appropriate
topic of your choice. The page must contain
at least 5 of the following 7 elements:
- An HTML table
- An ordered, unordered, or definition list
- At least two clickable URIs
- At least two picture elements, one of which is a link
- Headings of at least two different levels
- At least two of these inline logical elements:
- At least two of these block elements:
In addition to the above requirements, your page must contain a statement indicating when the page was
last modified.
Post your page on a web server of your choice and submit the link to the W3C
validation service to ensure that it does comply with XHTML strict requirements.
Once it does comply, you must add the "XHTML Strict" image provided by the
W3C validation service to the bottom of your page.
Turn in the final URI of your page on a text document to the "Week 5 - XHTML" assignment page on Oncourse. Name the text file XHTML.doc.
Due Date:
This assignment is due by midnight on the 7th day following the date
of the lab session attended.
You will receive feedback on this assignment within a week after the due date.
