The HCI/d group involves core faculty, affiliated faculty, visiting faculty, Ph.D. students, and master's students. Our core faculty consists of internationally well-known and outstanding scholars, researchers, designers, and teachers. We also have the nation's first Ph.D. program in Informatics (started in the fall of 2005) with an HCI/d track. About 60 master's students are in the two year HCI/d master's program. These students are closely involved with research and design work with faculty, and each other. Our students typically attend national and international conferences (partially supported by the school) as well as compete in international design competitions.
