Richelle earned her B.S. in education and M.S. in counseling from IU. She worked as a school counselor before returning to IU in 2004. Richelle has enjoyed working in higher education in the areas of advising and outreach programming, and is excited to begin her work with the School of Informatics in recruitment, outreach and student community. She believes in taking the student-centered approach in everything she does and that everyone deserves an equal opportunity. She is an active member of NACADA (National Academic Advising Association) and has been a lead presenter at national conferences on topics such as student mentoring programs, diversifying higher education and outreach programs since 2005.
