Biography
New to Career Services, Kerri officially began her duties as Associate Director on August 1, 2007. She comes to us with a background in higher education in addition to many years in the corporate world.
Upon graduating with a bachelor's degree in Biology and a minor in Chemistry, Kerri worked in the corporate sector, specifically in the human resources field for approximately fifteen years. This path began at the Olsten Corporation where she moved up the ranks working in a number of positions including, personnel supervisor, corporate trainer, branch manager, and ending as vice president of operations.
Most recently, for the past five years, Kerri worked at Bowling Green State University as training and development coordinator. It was at this time that she obtained her master's degree in organization development.
Throughout the years, Kerri's interest has truly been with the employment side of the human resources field. She has spent many enjoyable years working with clients as well as recruiting and developing employees and students. She is especially excited to be here at IU and is looking forward to working with all new and returning Informatics students!
On a personal note, Kerri is married to J.D., who also works here at IU. They have two sons, Jonathan, age 16, and Christopher, age 13. The family loves any sport; however, football, basketball, and baseball seem to be on the forefront.
