Research Interests

Steve Myers' interests include cryptography, systems security, complexity theory, probabilistic combinatorics, and randomized algorithms.

Education

  • MSc in Computer Science from the University of Toronto, 1999.
  • BSc in Computer Science with a Minor in Pure Mathematics from the University of Calgary, 1997.

Biography

Steve Myers received his B.S. in Computer Science and Pure Mathematics from the University of Calgary in 1997. He received his M.S. from the University of Toronto in 1999 and his PhD in 2005 for his work on cryptography under the supervision of Charles Rackoff.He interned at the Mathematical Research Division of Telcordia Technologies and developed and implemented technology for Echoworx Corp., a Web-security based start-up company. He has been at Indiana University, Bloomington since August of 2004, where he is an Assistant Professor in the School of Informatics, and an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science. He is also a member of the Center for Applied Cybersecurity at Indiana University.
