Biography

Prof. Shankar completed her Ph.D. in Library and Information Science at the University of California, Los Angeles. She worked as a postdoctoral researcher on data and metadata management for the Center for Embedded Networked Sensing (CENS) at UCLA and worked as an American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) Science Policy Fellow in the Office of Evaluation at the National Institute of Health in Bethesda, MD.
