Center for Data and Search Informatics
The Center for Data and Search Informatics conducts research the broad area of large scale data and metadata, data analysis and mining, Internet search, databases, machine learning and knowledge discovery, human computer design, policy implications, service architectures, and visualization.
The Center for Data and Search Informatics is located at Room 323 in the Informatics Building where it is being refurbished to house research facilities for collaborative interdisciplinary work.
The Center for Data and Search Informatics (DSI) has funding from the National Science Foundation and industry collaborators to carry out translational research driven by problems found in industry problems. Through this affiliation students are exposed to challenging research problems driving industry today. In the latter effort, DSI is partnering with Florida International University.
