Steven Myers

Research Statement

Myers received his B.S. in Computer Science and Pure Mathematics from the University of Calgary in 1997. He received his M.S. from the University of Toronto in 1999 for his work on cryptography under the supervision of Charles Rackoff, and is finishing his Ph.D. there. He interned at the Mathematical Research Division of Telcordia Technologies and developed and implemented technology for Echoworx Corp., a Web-security based start-up company. His research interests include cryptography, systems security, complexity theory, probabilistic combinatorics, and randomized algorithms.
