Biography
Jim is a former Texan who has recently moved to the Midwest. He attended the
University of Texas at Austin and received a
Bachelors degree in Physics in 1985. After completing a Masters degree in Mathematics at
Texas State University in 1993, Jim taught
mathematics and science for the next ten years. He also found time to take
additional coursework in mathematics and computer science (most at
Western Michigan University) before coming to the
School of Informatics at
Indiana University in Fall, 2004.
Jim will complete a Masters Degree in Bioinformatics from Indiana University in May of 2006.
He currently lives in Bloomington with his wife and two children.
